In The Classroom: Curriculum

Curriculum | After School

This section of the website explains the North Hampton School curricular expectations in the various subject domains. Curriculum expectations indicate "what students should know and be able to do". Currently, our classroom curriculums in Reading, Writing and Mathematics are guided by and based on the State of New Hampshire Grade Level Expectations (GLEs). The subjects of Science and Social Studies are beginning to be based on the new State of New Hampshire Grade Span Expectations (GSEs) but we are allowing for a two-year implementation period in Science and a gradual turnover from the former Standards and Benchmarks to the new Social Studies GSEs as well. All other curriculum areas are guided by their respective State Curriculum Frameworks.
