Breakfast—A Grab & Go breakfast offers a variety of cereals and hot breakfast items daily.  When your students arrive at school they may grab a breakfast bag and bring it to their classroom to enjoy.  The price of breakfast is $1.25, reduced price is .30 or free if your student qualifies.

Lunch – We offer a hot lunch daily as well as a deli sandwich or pre-made salads.  Prepared sandwiches of turkey or ham with lettuce and cheese will be offered daily.  A third sandwich will also be offered and will change weekly.  Pre-made garden salads with cheese or a chef salad are offered daily.  A third choice will be offered and change weekly.  A yogurt and bagel option is also available daily.  All meals come with a choice of milk, juice, and fruit.  We encourage students to include these healthy options to get the most balanced meal.  The price of the lunch is $2.30 and the reduced price is .40. Click HERE for an application for free / reduced meal benefits.

Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program –We started a new program of fresh fruit or vegetables in the classroom.  Once a week we bring all staff and students a fresh fruit or vegetable.  An eighth grade community service group helps by delivering weekly.

Local Produce--NHS has been invloved in bringing local fresh produce when available.  We have purchased apples from Applecrest Farm as well as broccoli, lettuce, tomatoes, eggplant, and squash from other local farms.  Our school and comminity garden had a great growing season this year.  We harvested squash, tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, potatoes, brussel sprouts, and a variety of herbs.

Lunch Accounts—Each student has their own food service account and ID number.  This is a debit system.  Parents are encouraged to keep their student’s account current.  Parents are now able to go online and monitor what your students are purchasing.  Go to ezschoolpay.com and sign up.  This site also has the feature of sending an e-mail when your student’s account is low.  Your student balance is updated every 10 minutes.

Please call Diane Marino at 964-5501 or e-mail her at dmarino@sau21.org to find out your student’s ID number.
