Getting to know Mrs. McIver:

I am looking forward to another exciting year as a teacher at North Hampton School.

Before coming to North Hampton, I attended the University of New Hampshire where I received a Bachelor of Science in Family Studies/Young Child.  I then went on to receive a Master of Education in Early Childhood/Special Needs.  I have participated in internships both at the UNH Child Study and Development Center (Nursery School) and Rye Elementary School (First Grade).  I have also worked as an assistant teacher at the Child Study and Development Center and as a special education paraprofessional with a preschool aged child.

I enjoy incorporating interest-based projects into the classroom curriculum when the opportunities arise.  I love the outdoors and using natural objects as part of daily investigations and experiments both inside and out.
