Getting to know Nurse Julie:

I love my job. The children/young adults here at school are simply wonderful!

My background in nursing began in Vermont.  I worked in a small hospital in Springfield.  It was really boring, so I thought I'd try a different kind of nursing.  That's the beauty of this profession.  So many avenues to discover!!  I ended up at Health Services at UNH and there discovered that I just LOVED working with young people.  So... I got a job as a School Nurse in Maine.  The grade levels were K through grade 2. I missed the older kids.  When I found out that North Hampton was looking for a Nurse, and that the age group was 3 years old to 14, I whisked up my resume and applied for the position.  I remember that I tried to sound really professional when Mr. Sweet called to offer me the job, but when I got off the phone, I picked up the front paws of my 135 lb. dog and danced with him all around the kitchen.  I'm still dancing with delight.  This is a great place to be.
