SAU #21 Joint Board Bylaws

 

1.    Each Board will select alternates to committees who will attend in the absence of the regular appointee.

 

2.    The Chairperson of each District Board will appoint one member to the OC and one member to the Negotiations Committee.

 

3.    Forms used in evaluating the Superintendent of Schools must be signed by Board Members and submitted in sealed envelopes.

 

4.    Forms used for evaluating the Superintendent of Schools will be mailed to the Chairman of the OC.

 

5.    Forms to be used for evaluating the Superintendent of Schools will be distributed to and completed by Board Members in a timely manner.† The intent is to have evaluations completed by sitting Board Members before Board turnover due to elections.†

 

6.    The Superintendentís performance objectives will be presented at the Fall Joint Board Meeting and will be reviewed at the Spring Joint Board Meeting.

 

7.    All information pertaining to SAU Joint Board meetings will be distributed no later than one week prior to the meeting date.

 

8.    The Joint Board will reorganize at the first Joint Board Meeting following District elections.
