Friday Notes - 5/27/22

Dear Parents,

We enjoyed a healthy, active week at LAS! SAS testing in grades 3-8 is just about finished, our baseball and softball teams are rocking it out on our diamonds, and grades 5 and 6 came back exhausted and excited from their day on a gundalow! Additionally, our 7th and 8th-grade students are just returning from two days in Boston, and we are looking forward to celebrating with our 8th-grade families in the next couple of weeks as their child's tenure at LAS comes to an end.

I want to thank our staff for planning all of these activities for our students. Their hard work and attention to detail have set them up for successful experiences. I would also thank our PTO for their work in meetings and fundraising activities. We couldn't provide this for students without you!

While we enjoy the end of our school year, our hearts are in Texas. Each time our country endures an unspeakable school tragedy, we examine our practices and many layers of safety. Please know that we are doing just that at the schoolhouse level and the SAU level with our Superintendent and School Board.

Thank you for being so supportive, and have a wonderful long weekend.
