Dear Parents,
Our k-2 students enjoyed a morning with members of the HF Fire Dept. learning all about fire safety. They received goodie bags and had a very informative Q and A with them. This served us very well when our fire alarm went off at 1:00. Everyone got out of the building safely and swiftly, and a problem was detected in one of the ducts in the ceiling of the gym. It has already been scheduled for repair. Many thanks to our Fire Department members who serve us so well!
For grades 7&8, Parents
We would like to schedule time with you on the evening of Thursday, October 20th, at 7 pm to talk about a combined classes trip later in the school year. The meeting will take place in our cafeteria.
Also, on October 27th, Mrs. Lapointe, our 7/8 Science teacher, will be hosting an Astronomy night. This will begin in the gym at 6:30 pm and then move outside.
Picture Retake Day is October 28th if you would like your student to retake their school photo.
Attached you will find a letter from our water inspection for lead. Oct 2022 lead results letter.pdf Repairs will be done on recommended areas, none of which are our filtered drinking stations.
Dates to remember:
- October 19 - Early release (11:30) for students
- October 25 - Pumpkin stroll for K-2 families
- October 20 - Grade 7/8 parent meeting for a class trip
- October 21 - Trunk or Treat for all LAS families
- October 27 - Astronomy Night Grades 7/8
- October 28 - Picture Retake Day
We also have several field trips coming up that I would prefer not to publish. Teachers will reach out to parents with details.
