Friday Notes - 1/27/23

Dear Parents,

It was so great to see so many families at the concert last night. All of our students did an amazing job and  everyone is still buzzing about how much fun it was. Shannon Lundin and Robert McClung both work very hard with students preparing them to perform and their efforts were on full display last night! Kudos to both of them and to all of the performers K-8. It was so enjoyable to see the progression in skill and confidence as each group performed, to see all of the students supporting one another and to feel the support from a loving audience full of parents, siblings and grandparents. Thank you for being there!

Kati Preston, an 83-year-old Hungarian Holocaust survivor, spoke to eighth grade students of her experiences as a five-year-old Jewish girl before and during World War II.  She brought a message of showing love over hate, and telling students. “This generation can mend the world.”

Our eighth students are studying the Holocaust and having Ms. Preston share her experiences was both powerful and impactful.

Just a reminder that next Wednesday, February 1, is an early release day for students. Dismissal is at 11:30.

It was great to see you all last night! Have a wonderful weekend,

Beth
