Many thanks to all of you that worked so hard making the annual Trunk or Treat such a success! Many of our students were buzzing about it because they really had a great time! Thank you for all of the energy you put into creating such a fun LAS memory for them.
Our students were entertained with a slide show of the event during lunches on Friday. We are trying something new in the cafeteria and have put two large screen monitors on either end of the room. We will display announcements about sports and other activities, student photos and upcoming activities. Today our students were treated to a slideshow of pictures taken last night.
Halloween will continue in the next two weeks. Mission Impact (our 7th and 8th grade community service and spirit group) organizing K-8 homerooms in a Secret Scare!
Each class will be assigned another classroom that they are tasked with decorating with Halloween goodies like candy, cobwebs, and drawings. They will also be provided with cards with their classroom name on it and will scatter the letters around the classroom to decorate for that room to unscramble and find out who made their classroom a Halloween fright. Mission Impact members will come to your classroom on Tuesday morning to share which class you have and answer any questions students may have. Announcements will be made over the loudspeaker next week and the Scaring will take place anytime between Oct. 24 and Halloween.
REMINDER - Picture Retake day will be on Tuesday, October 24th.
Retake day is for new students and staff members, transfer students, or for anyone who may have missed the initial picture day, OR for anyone who was unhappy with their original picture and would like to give it another try. If a student would like the retake photo to replace the original photo, please have the student return the original picture package to the photographer on picture day. We will replace the original package at no additional cost.
If this is the first time being photographed, your student will just go to the photographer and a picture proof will be created that will be sent to the school (and/or to their family email if we have that information). These proofs will be delivered approx. 4 weeks after picture day. An order code will be on the proof along with ordering instructions. There is no pre-ordering available.
