Welcome back, staff, parents and students of LAS!!
Hopefully everyone had a fun, relaxing summer and has been continuing to cut and collect BOX TOPS!! We have a few very exciting CHANGES to share with you, but first here are the details for our next Box Tops Collection Contest!!!
Our FALL COLLECTION CONTEST is here and the deadline is FRIDAY, OCTOBER 25th!! We will have 2 individual winners and the prize is a $50 gift card to Walmart for each winner!! For this contest we will credit you for digital submissions as well as the traditional clipped Box Tops. For the clipped Box Tops, be sure to put your name on each collection sheet and/or baggie and place them in the collection box in the Main Office by the end of the day on October 25th.
Now for our EXCITING CHANGES:
1. You may have heard the rumor that the Box Tops program is going digital! Yes, over the next few years the Box Tops you clip directly from products will be phased out. Instead, participating products will display a NEW logo (see below). Those 'digital' Box Tops will still be worth 10 cents to our school, but the method of submitting them has changed and is detailed below.
2. Robyn Soucy and Laura Pouliot, the coordinators of the Box Tops program for the past few years, have kids in 8th grade and will need to pass the Box Tops program onto new volunteers. Those volunteers may decide to continue with the contest model, as the digital submissions can be tracked by family, grade or classroom. Or, perhaps they will choose to periodically remind families to 'scan and submit' and publicize LAS' earnings. The new coordinators have a lot of freedom in terms of how they choose to continue the program. If you're interested, please email Laura at lapouliot@gmail.com or Robyn at robynsoose@gmail.com for more information.
LAS has earned more than $13,000 from the Box Tops Program since it began; let's keep this revenue source alive!
