Our 6th graders have some exciting news about their latest writing project!
"Hats for Hope," is a research and writing project culminating in a charity fair in the multipurpose room on February 18th from 1:30 to the close of school. All are invited.
Each student has identified a cause, a world/social problem, or illness ofsignificance to them personally along with a charitable or non-profit organization at work to solve this problem. Some topic examples students are exploring include aid to military families, declining polar bear populations, pollution in our oceans,and diseases like stroke and cancer.
Students will display a project defining and explaining the issue and will also design a one-of-a-kind hat representing their charity of choice. These hats will be auctioned by raffle at the charity fair with all proceeds going to the charity and cause close to their heart. Raffle tickets are $1.00 per ticket.
