Superintendent's Student Leadership Team

Mission
Students will work directly with the Superintendent to bring student voice to SAU-level decision making.  The SSLT will provide input on goals and strategies for implementing the Portrait of a Learner and on a variety of topics such as school safety, curriculum, and opportunities for students.

Team Membership
The team represents all schools within SAU 21 with 2 members from each elementary district and 8 representatives from Winnacunnet High School. We will look to ensure the team reflects the diverse population of our communities.  Students must be in grades 7 or 8 (elementary districts) or in grades 9-12 (Winnacunnet).  Members will serve for one school year.  Selections will be made based on application.  Members may reapply to serve for up to one additional year.

Members are expected to work cooperatively and respectfully with leadership team members, actively participate in leadership team tasks, and value and respect the diversity of our SAU 21 schools.

Meetings
Meetings will be held in person and via Google Meets each month.  Team members will be offered training opportunities in leadership, advocacy, team building, understanding the school system and other topics.  Students are expected to commit to attending all meetings (exceptions will be made for urgent and unforeseen conflicts).
