The Health Office (SY 2020-2021)

Welcome to Lincoln Akerman's Health Office!

Even though we are all working hard to become as safe and healthy as possible, allergies and illnesses will still happen.  In order for us to remain in school for as long as possible, any person attending or working in the school must stay home if they are having any COVID-19 symptom, if it is new or unexplained. Please keep sick children home and report their illness to me at hboyd@sau21.org or 603-926-2539 x108.

This is the place to come to, call, or email if your child is ill or injured and any kind of care needs to be coordinated.  Please call me at (603) 926-2539 or email me at hboyd@sau21.org.

WHO AM I?  I have been a nurse since graduating from the University of Massachusetts Lowell in 1995.  Soon after graduation, I joined the Peace Corps and taught basic nursing practices to students at a midwifery and medical assistant school in the far west of Nepal.  When I returned to the US, I worked in dermatology in Newton, MA.   I moved to Jaffrey NH in 2001, and I worked as an oncology nurse for 12 years in Keene, NH, and then as a school nurse for 4 years before my family relocated to Durham in August 2019, and now I am here!  I love being your child's school nurse.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding your child or children, please reach out to me.

Sincerely,

Heather Boyd, BSN, RN
